  2. President’s Report. Jim Schmidt reported as follows:

The annual budget for FY ending August 31, 2008 was submitted to Joanna. Member dues covers expenses such as postage. The only way we can make money is through workshops. Jim Roetzel suggested that we ask members if they would prefer to receive photo walk announcements via email to save the cost of postage, help the environment. Photo walk announcements will be emailed to registered members, posted on the CVPS website, and posted on the CVPS Forums. Motion to accept the budget as previously submitted.

Mike Scocos made a motion to authorize Jim Roetzel to contact B&H to explore the possibility of sponsorship for CVPS events. Motion was seconded and approved.

  1. Workshops: Woody spoke to Brenda Tharp several times over the past several weeks, and sent here a contract model and a suggested itinerary for her to review. Brenda is all set and ready for the fall workshop. Currently have 8 participants registered for the workshop. We need to decide what the style of future workshops / tours will be in order to book facilities, and workshop leaders. Wood spoke to Bob Christ who indicated he would be available to lead a workshop in the future. Suggestion was made to start a thread on the forum to solicit ideas for who they would like to see lead a future workshop, and for Jim Schmidt to send an email to all members with a link to the forum for members to provide their suggestions.
  2. Calendar:  Final editing was completed on April 29, 2007. Bruce provided stats on number of photos submitted but Jim Schmidt forget to bring it, so he will post it on the forums.
