Steering Committee Minutes

October 1, 2007

In attendance: Sylvia Banks, Woody Newport, Bill Rich, Jim Roetzel, Jim Schmidt, Mike Scocos, Ed Toerek, Bruce Winges and Diane Young.

1. Agenda: Adopted.
2. Minutes: Adopted.
3. President’s report: Nothing to report.
4. Calendar of events: Workshops not set (see below). Monthly presentations awaiting workshop information (see below). Bruce agrees to send Joanna Caley all information for 2008 as it now stands. What was sent is below.
5. Workshops: Difficulty in getting commitments from photographers continues. Art Wolfe, Frans Lanting declined. Art Morris was discussed as a possibility. There are 22 participants for the Brenda Tharp workshop. Woody asks if anyone is interested in taking on the workshop work.
6. CVNP calendar: Nothing to report.
7. Photo contest: Judges needed.
8. Monthly presentations: Schedule as it stands is in grid below.
9. Photo walks: About 20 attended the most recent walk. Next up is Oct. 20 at North Chagrin. The 2008 schedule has not been determined.
10. Web site: Each member is asked to share his or her favorite web site on the forum so that we can move forward with our web site.
11. Tim Thomas prints: Jim R. will ask family for original images.
12. Recruitment: Jim S. will ask Jerry Jelinek to help with photo contest.
13. New business: None.
